Unfortunately, if you plan to camp in Iceland in winter, this card is not valid. Many campsites close during the colder season, so the card can only be used from mid-May to mid-September each year.

The price this year for the Campingcard is €179 (24,900 ISK). To help you do the math, the campsites in Iceland cost an average of between 1,000 and 2,000 ISK per adult per night. So if you are traveling with 2 people, you will pay off the card in a few days. If you add children to the trip, the card is definitely worth it. Keep in mind that if you travel with more than two adults, the third person and subsequent ones will either need to pay separately directly at the campsite or get another Campingcard.

That is, you would pay for one motorhome, even if 4 people sleep inside.
